For years, nobody paid much attention to the empty lot behind the old brick wall. It was overgrown, filled with weeds and broken bottles, and everyone assumed it would eventually become another building.
Then one Saturday morning, a few neighbours started clearing it. Someone brought plants, someone else brought tools, and by sunset there was the beginning of a garden.
Months later, the space had transformed completely. Children played between the flower beds, neighbours shared vegetables, and people who had lived beside each other for years finally knew one another’s names.
